Watch the world as it Tweets

One question a lot of people ask us is how they can get Twitter onto their CODA screen. They either want to watch what the people they follow are up to, or want to keep an eye on specific search terms. Previously we've had a few hacks that let you do this, but we've now add Twitter to the list of web services that CODA supports out the box.

If you want to display the world of Tweets, simply head over the content management screen when logged into CODA. Once there, go to ADD, and then select "OTHER WEB SERVICES". From there you'll see we now have Twitter (along with Flickr, Timetric, and YouTube). Click on Twitter, and then you can do one of two things:

Firstly, if you have a Twitter account, then you can provide your Twitter account details, and this will generate a CODA source that shows the latest tweets from all the people you follow.

Secondly, if you simply want to follow a particular search topic, use the search term box and it'll add a source that keeps finding the latest tweets that contain that search term. This proved a hit at a recent Cambridge Tech Meetup, where we projected the Twitter comments about the event onto a screen all evening.
