Creating content using Powerpoint or Keynote

One easy way to create content for your CODA system is to use a presentation application such as Powerpoint, Keynote, or OpenOffice Impress. Before too long we hope to support many of these formats directly, but in the meantime you can use their 'Save as images' features.

In some applications this can be found under the 'Save as...' menu by selecting PNG or JPEG images as the output format. In others, there is a separate 'Export' menu.

Typically, this will create a set of images called something like 'slide001.png', 'silde002.png'. You can put these on your own server and refer to them by URLs in the normal way, or you can use the 'Create album by uploading files' feature on CODA to put them on the CODA server.

An even more convenient option is to put all the images into a ZIP file. You can upload that and it will expand into an album. The initial ordering will be alphabetical.

For best results, try to set the size of the slides in your slideshow to the same resolution as your CODA display before exporting them.
