Looking at the user interface

Once you've logged in to CODA, you'll see a screen similar to this:

CODA ui overview

At the top you can see the overall section headings: Basics, Tagging, Management etc.

  • Basics is about adding content, organising & scheduling it, and putting it on your displays.  You'll spend most of your time here.
  • Tagging lets you add keyword tags to your content and your displays so that you can do more interesting things with them later.
  • Management is where you control various aspects of your organisation's CODA account and systems: your hardware, your user accounts, and so forth

Within these sections, the interface is divided into several panes based around simple tasks.  In the Basics section, for example, you can see a menu on the left showing Content, Scheduling, Layouts and Assignment.  We'll start by considering these.
