Our not-for-profit sister project, Ndiyo, is creating technology which is designed to make IT more affordable and more sustainable for the world. An Ndiyo system enables a PC running Linux to be shared between multiple simultaneous users while still giving each a high-quality desktop experience. A typical 5-user Ndiyo system also consumes half the electricity of a traditional PC network, and its manufacture has a much smaller environmental footprint.
The technology is not yet ready for general public sale, but in conjunction with Ndiyo, we are providing a Starter Kit which will give interested parties early access to the technology.
The kit includes 5 ethernet-connecting Nivo terminals, which can be added to a PC to create a 6-user system. Each Nivo supports a standard LCD monitor and a PS2-connected keyboard and mouse.

Binary software drivers are included for a standard Ubuntu Linux machine along with a bootable CD which lets you test the system without even installing any software.
The Starter Kit retails at £1499 +VAT, and you can purchase it from our online store.
